Who makes a PVC with a rear Lounge and front drop down bed?

Not sure if they do that layout but seen an interesting pvc in France last year but can’t remember the name, Grianan do you remember as I think you looked it up.

Vantage make "Sky"... rear lounge but the drop down bed is over it, not at the front

I remember also seeing one demo'd that had a bed stowed in place of the over cab storage but can't remember the brand...

Looks interesting. I am looking forward to seeing the real thing at one of the shows. Sounds like a good layout for the UK. SWMBO complains that the front continental dinette layout is too restricting for her, if the weather is so horrible we don't fancy venturing out.

As in the "sky" you would need an extra high top to take the bed, There are only a few converters using them.
Our rear bed in our Globecar is similar to the sky but is a king size so only goes up to the top lockers.

There is a small storage space in this van when used as a rear lounge, the bed design means it is low height in the front and feels claustrophobic. Also as the unladen weight is over 3050kg you are stuck with lower speed limits. To carry 4 people and their chattels you would need to up plate this van and ideally due to the weight and height air suspension would improve it massively. I know I have an extra high Ducato plated at 4500kg

In a perfect world a rear lounge is a nice layout, but we felt that in a PVC that can sleep and travel 4 there are too many compromises.
Besides laying out on the huge rear bed is far more comfortable than laying on a couch.

Now that the wife has been forced to retire due to Corvid  we are looking for something for short trips away of only a day or two for just the two of us, the RV is just to big for this so we thought a PVC would be ideal, but with the weather we get in the UK we want to be able to lounge inside when necessary.
Not keen on a rear lounge because the cushions when made into a bed aren't the best mattress, and its a faff making and unmaking the bed.

For 2 people it's more feasible, the main issue is the price of the van due to an extra high top base van and only a few manufacturers using them. Even less doing them on a rear lounge.

Nothing wrong or uncomfortable with the rear lounge seating in our V Line 635SE. It takes seconds to turn the settee’s into twin beds, we keep our sleeping bags in the over cab storage so easy to set up.

Sometimes I turn the bases over to even up the wear, that only takes 30 seconds or so.

When we first sat in our new 635 we though the seating felt a little tighter/harder than our previous 610SE, but with using it for a few days we realised the internals did’nt bottom out when sat or lay on them for some time.
Two years on and some 120 + nights use there is very little signs of sagging or wear.

We have managed to get Auto Trail to supply 3 metres of the upholstery material fitted to our (2018) build and have had our rear parallel lounge turned into a U lounge, a la V Line Sport, the upholsterer we used has made a really matching set up.

This was the van we saw at Collioure ...

I think Knaus also do drop down beds at the front in their PVC range.

Thanks guys just bought an Autocruise Swift Select 164 which she's happy with except the fridge so we apparently need a coolbox now and two telly's.

If you have room, Engel are brilliant cool boxes and very efficient.
