Packing up to head to the snow! At last...

Who is out in France this March? Thinking of heading to North and Central areas rather than south. Tell us if you're around for a ski or a beer (y):D

Not there yet! Heading out on Sunday probably to Flaine, La Plagne, Three Valleys, Tignes or smaller resorts in that region. Will decide on the way as per usual!

We are heading out on the 31st...second trip ever in MH. We did Pettneu in February (practice run). Planning on going 'almost wild' on the Aires of Val Thorens and/or Les Menuires as we've heard it holds the snow towards the end of season....I have read somewhere that you can pre-book one of the Aires there, but can't remember which one. Can anyone jog the old grey matter?

Thanks Ruth, We're in an Autotrail chieftain on a private plate. We should be making our way down over that weekend. We'll keep an eye out for you. :)

Just left Les Arcs.
SO busy.
Beauty of moho-ing is you can ski anywhere so why pic crowded places.
We only went there as it was on the way home and i couldn't resist and hadnt seen it before.
Dont stay at the Indigo Versoyer campsite either. Overpriced
However the ski area was great - just heaving with mainly Brits. Handy with the train going from Euston to Bourg St Maurice i guess .
Limone Piemonte southern italy was perfect.
Also Linguaglossa Mount Etna Sicily.
And Zadar southern Poland.
Sad to be stopping now as have just got new skis......
Already planning next year! Andorra
Limone (with the family flying to Nice to join us) Then dolomomites hopefully .

No its generally quite a busy resort but it was okay compared to school holidays. Not many queues. The aire is first class piste side with electric included and all facilitiesorts. Pricey at 22 euros night but considering location and electricity fair enough. I would definitely look at Montchavin if you prefer a campsite. We are at Tignes now wild camping and may try the aire at arcs 1600 in a day or two. I am not sure how we'll find the skiing only been over a couple of times in past years from the Montchavin site.

We arrived in Les Menuires last night. Superb Aire, so we've cancelled our parking in VT as it is SO expensive at €25.00 a night (without ehu). A little snow overnight and a bit forecast for today. Time to get out there!

Just left there last Wednesday, great place, snow was suffering at Les Menuires but was still okay up at Val Thorens accessed by lifts and a couple of runs or free buses. Saw no vans at VT as you say it's a pricey place to park. Enjoy!
