do any members have any experience of the CC site at old hartley near whitley bay ?

We were there last year. Lovely site, great views but a bit steep. The shower block was closed due to subsidence but the temporary facilities were fine. Pub rihgt outside, does real ale as I remember.

how steep is "a bit steep" will the fiamm levelling cheeses be able to cope ? thanks for the prompt reply !:thumb:

We stopped there last year and as said it is a nice enough site with a nice coast walk and good bus service to Newcastle close by.

I would think you would be ok with your Scout but any thing bigger might be a problem. We did have to use leveling chocks but had no problems. The hard standings are just two tracks for you wheels and there are some grass pitchs which looked well drained.

Not too steep, your blocks should be able to cope and we noticed that the motorhomes are sited on the slightly less sloping parts.
