Renewal quote for motorhome from 2gether.....£249
New policy quote for motorhome from Adrian flux via Confused.com.....£169
Don't want to mess about with small print. Initial comparisons of conditions are similar.
Are far as 2gether are concerned....should I stay or should I go? (as the song goes).
Please don't say try this that and the other, this kind of stuff just brings out the dyslexic in me.

Difficult to quote and assist if you don’t read the small print.

Is there legal cover, break-in cover, personal belongings and if so to what level. Windscreens, side windows, limited mileage. The list goes on.

Think I’d write all these questions down and then do your own comparison, it’s the only way.

Adrian Flux have been cheapest for me for a couple of years. I've not had any issues, but I've not had to make a claim either...

They have got a good reputation in the petrol head scene though. They are very tolerant of modifications and odd builds. I guess motorhomes are often modified, just we add refillable gas and solar instead of load exhausts and big alloys.

Flux.
No value in renewing at an inflated price from your present insurer who will show you zero loyalty.

Broken most bits now
Steer clear of Adrian Flux - at renewal this year they were nearly £1000 dearer with their comparison search compared to my own! Last year's policy also included breakdown cover which wouldn't cover my 4.25t van and I hadn't even requested. They also advised me after 1 year that the policy they sold me last year didn't include a no-claims entitlement for the following year. Not impressed 🤬

Go with adrian flux if it's the cheapest because who ever you go with will, try and wriggle out of a claim if your unfortunate to have to make 1

This year was the first year that I've not had to chase down a renewal price. The Adrian Flux renewal price was lower than the competition and within a few quid of the price on comparison websites.

Have you actually spoken (as on the 'phone) to your current insurer and pointed out the apparent disparity between quotes? It would help if you did a point by point comparison between the existing policy and the cheaper one - at least as far as what's important to you in your current policy - so that you can show that it is a genuine like for like comparison. You'd be surprised at how well this works most of the time.

Once again it never ceases to amaze me. The huge difference in quotations for apparently the same cover makes me think their method is "see if we can get away with this". The problem is of course that a lot of folk just pay up, they either can't, won't or don't know how to get a fair comparison. As for specialist insurance, such as motorhomes, the comparison websites are, IMO, useless because you always end up talking to an agent who takes all your details and says "the price will be..........."

And as for loyalty, don't get me started.

Check that the cover offered is what you NEED, if necessary ring them and ask (make a note of the persons name in case there is any come back) then buy the cheapest.

Long time!
Just had my renewal from Adrian Flux and its exactly the same as last year to the penny. Which I thought a bit strange, will have to investigate.

Yes I have spoken to my current insurer, explaining that I could get a much cheaper cover from Adrian Flux and I was given short shrift!
I stated reasons for expecting a reduction - low, usage due to Covid, a few other lower quotes than them etc but to no avail. So I will switch to Adrian Flux I think.

In that case, it sounds like switching is a no-brainer. Good luck.

Got to be honest, if I can just click renew I will barring large discrepancies, just had car insurance through and every other quote beat Saga by about £120, almost every Company bas reduced prices except Saga probably cos of the 3 year fix, however from what I can see the legal and medical cover is better with Saga

Just got a quote from NFU... About 40% cheaper than Adrian Flux and didn't require trackers or alarms. But it doesn't include breakdown cover.
