Hi top
Exp
Newbie
i am going to bite the bullit and fit 4 new tyres. there is loads of tread but sidewalls are perishing(cracking). the existing tyres are michelin agilis
225/70 R 15C
112/110s
recommended pressure 65 psi
I am looking to try and achieve a more comfortable drive, it drives well but is a harsh drive,if you run on cats eyes you certainly know about it. hancook have been recommended, would going to a 75 profile make any improvement. the van is a cheyanne 4500kg
many thanks

The load ratings of your existing tyres look a bit shy for a 4500kg van. You probably need to check your axle loads to see what load rating tyres you need before looking to increase the aspect ratio

I also went for them too Lenny. Ride seems ok by haven't tested them out fully yet. What PSI do you run them at.
Was running at 72 rear and 62 front, just dropped the rears to 65.
Doesn't t appear to make much odds but I do have full 4C air suspension.

I’ve just been looking at tyres, promptEd by recent threads.
I’ve found the Toyo Observe in my size and tryi to find out how many ply they are.
These tyres have a slightly higher load rating which wouldn’t be a bad thing,

Those are only 116 load rating I bought the 10 ply 121 rated ones, always best to go for your max axle loading + 10% particularly if using van tyres.

Edit:
Are you looking at the right tyres those are only 215, 225 are normal on 16" rims that explains the lower load rating.
