Hi all, which chemicals do you use , have tried the Aldi ones and the washing ones (different ones) but SWMBO still says she doesn't like the smell that comes from the toilet , do i use the blue or the green and which smells better???

green is better than blue for the environment and can be used where there is a septic tank

Is it definitely the bog, they are pretty well sealed and grey water sloshing around can smell much worse than black water.

We use Elsan green in the loo, we also have a spray bottle with diluted Elsan green to use on the bowl as the flush is pure water. Works for us.

I use Blue in the cassette although changing to green when it runs out and pink spray around the bowl after every visit, smells fine

I have a mild perfume aversion and find Elsan Organic works well

Anybody tried the Thetford lavender stuff yet??

The blue is better than green argument is from a time when the blue one contained formaldehyde
Nowadays blue toilet fluid is available which is biodegradeable, suitable for septic tanks and even probiotic

Deffo Ariel Bio Washing Tabs.................not the cheapest , but hey you've spent £40+ on the van so try and get things into proportion. If SWMBO doesn't like the smell then how does she cope with washday..............I bet she does't empty the casette anyway..............just saying.............
