Thanks to helpful peeps on here we have now bought a Cadac 2 Cook, Ridgemonkey and Remoska. So now I’m thinking of pans.

I’ve seen recommendations for Teflon Ingenio and almost bought last night on a Black Friday deal but got cold feet as I couldn’t decide between stainless and aluminium and, if aluminium which of the 3 coatings?

Any advice?

I assume you mean Tefal teflon pans. We got an aluminium set, in a hypermarket in France, 10 years ago. Still going strong. It's a set with the detachable handle.

We went for the Ingenio Induction pans as we do a lot of cooking outside when abroad using an Aldi induction plate, brilliant combo for us and of course in cooler climes OH uses them on the gas rings.

Thanks, I’ve missed the boat with Black Friday now as the price went back up but I’ll keep my eyes peeled for the Boxing Day offers ....

Have a look on the French Amazon site, that's where I got mine from earlier this year - at least half the price.

Fantastic indeed.
Thought I was going to have to pop yo France for New pans. Just ordered a set with a wok. Half price. Marvellous. Exclusive for prime members. Had to pay postage though but still comes in around £60.

Don’t forget you need to buy lids, the plastic ones that are included are just for storage of food. Be warned they will melt if used on hob. We have had our set for many years and the non-stick is wearing off and the outside coating is coming off where the handle catches on it. We bought an extra handle, they will also melt if too near the heat. We still love ours and are seriously thinkIng of going down the stainless route.

The Tefal Outlet shop did warn us about not having the handle near the gas flame - they did suggest removing it when cooking but not sure if that's ideal all the time.
