Having just bought a Bessacarr e495 I want a solar panel fitted asap. I haven't got the time to think about doing it myself within the next few weeks so I'm going to ask some technicians near Sheffield. But which panel is right? And how much do they cost? 90w or 120w seem to be common. I imagine it's a case of the bigger the better although weight is an issue. There's only one leisure battery so I'm guessing I ought to but another. Any advice appreciated.

Since 2009 with motorhomes several caravans then tents before that.
Ralph has fitted victron blue solar on Pug. 2x80 watt controlled by a victron 3 stage charger. If that helps at all. It's all gobldeegook to me.

2 x 120 amp/hr batteries and a pair of 80W panels should see you right.

If weight is an issue, the flexible ones are a lot lighter. They're not as efficient apparently but watt for watt are a fraction of the weight. I've just fitted a 150w unit that weighed 2.5kg as opposed to a traditional unit that weighs around 9kg and no extra brackets to buy/fit.
I have 2 x 110a/h batteries and led's and the setup seems to be working well so far.

We have a e425, there is only 1 battery and no room for another one.
So I bought a new 110a battery and fitted a 100w solar panel, and it all
works a treat.
