We are down near Alicante at the moment, and will be heading back to Calais next week. Which route is good at this time of year? We don't mind the toll roads & are just doing the dash home.:thumb:

Alicante - Valencia - A23 to Zarragosa

if weather is ok Huesca and through the somport tunnel and up to Bordeaux.
Bad weather go to Pamplona and N123 up to Irun and then on to Bordeaux.

N10 all the way to Chartes - Rouen and then on to Calais..

This "western route" is better in winter and the one most take...:thumb:

I did this a couple of weeks ago....Valencia to Zaragoza then Pamplona and Irun........its a good route...no long tunnels.
There is a good way of bypassing Rouen.....look on the map for Bourg Achard then head for Yvetot.......then head north as normal.Rouen can get very busy.

I never find Rouen an issue on the return journey. Go on old N road via pont de la arche and follow river (on left) as you reach tiwn you will be north of the river and it's a right turn and straight on to the dual carriageway heading out of Rouen... :thumb:
But will look up your route....:winky:
