Have always been an Explorer user to date, however with the latest version I am fed up with it crashing/waiting for / failing to respond.

Is there a better alternative out there?

Can I seek your yiews so that I do not have to find out by trial and error.

Thanks

Nigel

Google chrome then Firefox....maybe opera but I haven't used that as much. Explorer is at the bottom of my list.

I prefer Firefox with Opera as next alternative. As with a lot of software, though, the best for you is the one you prefer. Try a few out, you can always uninstall them is you don't like them.

Not Long Enough.
Hardware and Software

::bigsmile:Google chrome has a good name.
I've tried it, and it is fast....... but I've gone back to Explorer. It
works very well :thumb:
Don't get your problems though, so, could there be some other underlying cause ??:Eeek:

Trip and error may be necessary because a lot depends on what you find best for you.

I have a laptop which currently has Firefox, and a PC with Chrome and IE plus a tablet with Chrome. From a user perspective there isn't much to choose between them as they seem to have copied the best features from each other these days. However, I tend to use Chrome the most as it is on my tablet and it is easier to just use the same one on different devices.

Incidently, IE shouldn't be crashing. If it is there is a problem with installation. It is perfectly stable on my PC.

I was always an "explorer" man..
But then had an issue with something and someone said try Chrome.... At first it was a bit strange but now I love it and never use Explorer... Give it a go, you can always remove it...

I use firefox for everything except games. For games I use chrome.

Firefox is better for developers and I feel privacy is better than with chrome.

Chrome is fastest for flash games but also unstable.

I have not touched IE in many many years for serious use. I only load it up when debugging client sites.

Almost exactly what I would have written so no point in me typing it out again ::bigsmile:

I also use Chrome for streaming though.

I'm going to be different here, I use Dolphin and Puffin. Both work well on my Mac / ipad ( using Dolphin now) , Puffin has the advantage of being able to stream Flash content on my ipad, not many other browsers can do that.
I don't really like Chrome, it follows you about too much with adverts and I haven't used IE for years, thank goodness.
Firefox is pretty good and Safari is probably one of the best out there.

Firefox is the one I use,at the office I used Chrome, both very good and without any apparent issues..
You pays your money and makes your choice, although you don't as they are both free!!

I used Firefox, with IE as a backup simply because sometimes Firefox doesn't 'like' displaying some stuff.

I have used Chrome and Safari in the past but not recently, maybe I'll have to see what they're like now!

I have used Chrome for a few years now and it seems to be good. I had a little try with Firefox and might try it again sometime, but if you have one that works well and you are used to it then it seems easier to let things stay as they are.

Before Chrome I had IE and I have to say Chrome is much better and I wouldnt go back to IE again.

I use googlemail also which I find is far superior to Outlook Express

IE became a real pain; particularly around the time of the BT/Yahoo "divorce". I have started using Chrome. So far so good, but I miss the set-up as it was.
