Hi, to you all. Hope you all have a good Chistmas. Having a new MH deliverd April/May. I would welcome some advice as to what type of gas system to have. Gaslow bottles, Autogas 2000 bottles or underslung tanks. Your advive would be welcome. A happy newyear to you all.

Hi Joca
All are equally good and the underslung really depends on the vehicle concerned as to what and if anything will fit. (You can correct your title by selecting "edit" then "more options")

don't normally recommend underslung tanks but your picture shows a VW? so internal storage limited? I had a westfalia VW and had underslung tank. make sure its easily accessible if you go for one, as on sea crossings you have to isolate gas tank

many many years! since I was a kid
gaslow and gas-it bottles are identical but gas-it is much cheaper. the only different bottle really is the alugas lightweight ones, which you pay a premium for to save a few kilograms of payload

We went for Gaslow, one reason was because a Gaslow fitting and service centre is only a couple of miles from our house. We had 2 x 11 kg bottles fitted.

Southampton, How much did you pay. As I will start to get some qoutes. The Picture is my present van which is a Mazda Bongo, the MH that I need the gas tanks for is a Kon-tiki so no probs about space underneath.

You might care to contact Dave Newell (Funster) and see what prices he could offer you. Telford is near to you and Dave gives a Funster discount.

Well worth freeing up the extra storage if you have the payload. Presumably a Kontiki does

Can't remember now but it was in the £400 region including three adapters for the continent. This was with an outside filler point in the skirting. If you can find somebody that gives funster discount you would be better off.

You might want to consider your Unladen weight before you decide which option to go for, is your new mh 3500kg gvw or 3850 gvw or other, as this may make a very considerable difference in what you have fitted, as you don't realize how much stuff you carry and wrong option may just put you overweight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since 2007. But no more.
Conrad Anderson are in Brum and fitted a gas system for me on my Autocruise.
Wanted an under slung but there wasn't sufficient room.
One advantage of re-fillable bottles is you can take them with you when you change vans.
