Hi everyone as above which firestick is best for tv ?

The 4K version would be my suggestion. Much faster than the original and was on offer for £29.99.

There has been talk of an upgraded version in 2021 but I am very happy with the existing 4K version.

the processor in the 4k is faster, so really helps prevent buffering issues. Nothing wrong with the cheaper version if you have nice fast broadband all the time

There’s a new HD Firestick
Looks like the Firestick 4K but capped at 1080
£10 cheaper.

edit: maybe the new Lite model is also as fast as the 4K
I’ve only had the old HD & later 4K model - I can vouch for the speed boost the 4K had over the old HD but can only assume the new 2020 FS have the same CPU as the 4K

I’ve assumed a MH telly and it’s the small devices needed, but what about the Fire TV Cube for the home TV? Over twice the price (& size!] tho...

I got a smart tv with Netflix, now tv, Amazon prime etc etc all pre installed for £160 Black Friday

I do like googles products and really fancy their version of the firestick but last time I looked it was mightily over priced, as is most of their stuff. They seemed to be only selling it for about £85 with them using 6 months free Netflix membership to justify that price tag. Not sure if they are selling it by itself yet.

For some maybe {a better experience ^}. I added Cinema HD and that looked like a gateway to illegal films & videos - unless someone is kind enough to pay the rights owners on my behalf via Cinema HD.

With all the major catch up players in the Amazon 'shop' for me, there's no need to venture off.
inc. apple tv & +Disney to pick 2 - well, OK, some more BBC, UK TV, 4 all (all4?). Or look at "What UK TV channels are free with the Firestick? How to get BBC, Pick & more (digihelpdesk.co.uk)"

Ironically, Amazon Support told me how to get the Downloader app to side load a new Fire TV firmware release to try a fix - which facilitated me even trying Cinema HD - lol

You cannot download onto a 4k firsetick as far as I know as you get an error when launching unless TheBig1 knows better and is willing to share his knowledge!!

I would be willing to share if I could remember the instructions. I did a search on google and tried a few before finding one that worked

We had the normal HD stick and audio kept going out of sync with visual, bought a 4k on a special and MUCH better.
