Which Engine Oil in Chevvy 6.2l Diesel? (1 Viewer)

Hi
Im not sure what sort of oil to put in my RV. It has a 1983 Chevvy 6.2l Diesel lump.
Anyone know? Thanks. Matt

Hi there I have a chevy blazer 1990 with a 6.2 diesel i have always used 15/40 diesel oil as per the handbook hope this helps

Hi Matt, I have replied to your PM.

As Andy says, 15w40....make sure its a good quality diesel grade oil and you'll be fine.

Hi

Any reasonable 15w40, and change it on a TIME basis NOT mileage as you will not do the miles in a R-V unless you are permanently Travelling, (as opposed to camping!)

I ran my Pace Arrow (1983) on Halfords Own brand for 5 years and changed it annually. without any problems
