If you are thinking of flying your drone in Europe, I believe different countries have different rules, so it's a good idea to check in advance, I know in Spain different regional authorities have the ability to define their own regulations as well as the regulations defined by the AESA (State agency of air security).

If you buy the Mavic Mini I strongly suggest you go for the combo, otherwise after 25mins flying you'll have to wait an age for the battery to charge in the drone. The extra two batteries and the smart charger means that you can continue flying and be recharging at the same time. You also get a useful carry case extra spare props and prop guards for those early flights when you're liable to crash. The replacement insurance is well worth it as well.

I have the Mavic Zoom I would also recomend the smart controller.
