Having returned from Italy last week I can only agree. We think the roads are bad here, but what shocked me was the size and depth of the potholes on the MOTORWAYS!! And there was no way of escaping them. Thankfully not in our van, but a hired SUV... Can certainly understand the dashcam travails.Ours filled the memory card when we were in Italy. It wasn't supposed to do that but when I checked it was full of write-protected files. Turns out the roads are so bad in Italy the dashcam thought we were having accidents all the time and protected the file everytime we went over a bump.

Arrived in Sicily yesterday from Cagliari, I think my body is still shaking from all the bumps and potholes we hit and that's without taking into account the woman who was nearly decapitated by a wing mirror getting out of her car as a van flew past her or the lunatic overtaking everywhere. Presumably you landed at Palermo - that has traffic even the rest of Italy fear I think.Arrived in Sicily yesterday from Cagliari, I think my body is still shaking from all the bumps and potholes we hit and that's without taking into account the woman who was nearly decapitated by a wing mirror getting out of her car as a van flew past her or the lunatic overtaking everywhere. Yes we did and I'm glad that they seemed to realise a big van would possibly come out better in a collision but that was tame compared to this little town on the way to San Vito Lo Capo, they were overtaking on a packed single lane high street like it was a dual carriageway and just forcing cars to let them in. Never seen anything like it, I couldn't believe that their driving has actually got worse over the last few years. Next up mainland ItalyPresumably you landed at Palermo - that has traffic even the rest of Italy fear I think.

You need a long cable and route it around the windscreen. You should find a gap to tuck it into.I think it would be a good idea, already have a SatNav connected to the cigarette lighter port and slightly concerned about a cable hanging or routed from the rear view mirror. How do you manage that ?
