I'm looking at buying a second hand motorhome. I have up to £60k to spend. I would like an island bed and a shower cubicle and at least 4 berth. I've been looking at Autotrail Mowhawk (although an transverse bed) and Imala 730, Burstner Nexxo T740, Benimar Mileo 294 and 282 and Chausson Welcome 728EB.

Has anyone got any advice on these models/brands? are there issues with any of these brands please?

Many thanks

If you're going to use all 4 Beth's, payload will be more important than which is better. From reading about problems with motorhomes on here. It's clear every make has issues. It's not just build quality, but the stuff every manufacturer fits inside.

Yes I have a C1 licence. No, it will be 2 of us, maybe a friend every now and again. Its Myself and my daughter, we want a bed each! But I don't want a single bed and don't want to make my bed up. But after my campervan, I would like something with plenty of room in it.

I would take a visit to Alan Kerr MHs in Paignton. The director is a member on here Simon-Alan Kerr and has been proven to be a trusted dealer. He can source suitable vans for you.

We had 2 Burstners and an Autotrail. The Burstners were both brilliant. The AT, new in 2012, failed every damp test 5 years running in various places. Some are OK but it's a lottery
