Just going through the forms for registering my new van and I need to fill in the engine number, I assumed it would be on the plate with VIN but not sure now. So does anyone know where to find the engine number for a Fiat ducato

I phoned Fiat UK and gave them my VIN number and they gave me it. She did say it should be visible on a sticker/plate under the bonnet. I couldn't find it and didn't fancy crawling underneath to find one.

You don't need it to register a Motorhome you can just put "unknown" on the form.

My V5 has the engine type in the engine number box as that is what my dealer had put on the invoice under engine number, only realised afterwards couldn't be bothered with anymore hassle DVLA so I left it.

I don't trust DVLA to get the date right recently, not fit for purpose.
