Well its that time of year again and we have started to talk about were to go for the winter. Firstly its herselfs big birthday in March,so we would like to do something really special. I have always wanted to do route 66, buying an RV in the States and doing a 3 month tour, then putting it into storage and fly home for a couple of months, then fly back out for another 3 month stint.
The other alternative is another winter in Morocco which we both loved last year. Several funsters have asked if we are going out to Morocco this year and have said they would like to accompany us, so I think this is an option to look at as well.

I have a mate that I used to travel with years ago who now owns an RV in the States.
He has asked me to go over many times and tour with him, but the lazy bugger just drives down to the Keys now and sits there all winter gorging himself. Thinking about it, it doesn't seem like a bad idea :Cool:.

Tricky one. We really liked going to Spain (Marjal) for March, but since we only seem to get time to go once a year, I'd rather wait and go to Germany and onwards in May/June next year. I'm really quite envious of those going to Morocco/Portugal for the winter, but my little grandpeople pull me back. When I look at their wee faces and feel their arms around my neck, staying away is difficult. What a quandrary! I can feel, as they grow up, that I'm not so important in their lives but they are still important in mine. Where did this word 'love' come from. Nobody warned me.

here,s a couple of us up the mountains above the gourge du dades .by the tizi-n-ouano pass. on the way toagoudal.
dont think artic trucks and glasgow service buses are meant to be this high up . we went above the snow line .was sick as a pig .
but what a journey .
if you can zoom into the drop on the other side of the vehicles . great fun.

Just done it in a Cruise America RV, Chicago , St Louis, Memphis, Tulsa , Oklahoma City, Amarillo, Albuquerque, Holbrook, then off route to Monument, Page, North Rim Grand Canyon , Zion and Las Vegas to hand in .
3000 miles a fabulous hot awesome trip :thumb:

What is not reported ( conveniently ) is that this is happening across the country at the moment and is actually the main reason the consulate could not offer a whole lot of help.. they are being inundated with such issues
