I'm a newbie, but enjoying it.
Hi
Can anyone tell us where is the best place for an overnight stay near to Dover Ferryboat is?

For us it would have to be Canterbury Park & Ride. About a 20 minute drive to the ferry.
There is plenty of information available via the forum search facility.

We stayed at a Britstop pub near Ashford on our way down and another near Sittingbourne on our return. Both convenient for tunnel, lovely settings and nice pubs - didn't eat at the first but food at the latter was excellent. You can now order the 2015/6 book - £30 - but we think well worth it for info on hundreds of free and safe overnight parking options all over UK. You don't need many nights on sites or CLs to add up to £30! Good luck!

Well, I have booked Black Horse Farm as its our first time. Once I have been over once, I may just go straight over next time. At least I benefited from your replies :)

We live in Westgate on sea easy run to the ferry ,I have seen lots of vans parked on the front. I don't think there are any restrictions ,or there are two sites just up the road one is called 2 chimneys

We used BritStop no 135.
The old Lantern Inn
The Street

About 10 mins from ferry and the food was great as were the hosts. (y)

So what happened to rule 1? If you care to look at the OP you will see it was posted in February and that they only posted half a dozen times. Probably put off by replies like this. ...
