Where To Stay? Aberystwyth Coastal Area To Snowdonia Areas (1 Viewer)

Any suggestions as where to stay in the above areas. When we are there w/c 15 June. We are members of "Britstops". Looking for freebee or low cost sites.

We stayed on the front, up and around the corner from the university building - towards the harbour. There was about 10 spaces FOC last year, although there was talk of them changing the rules on parking there.

For Barmouth we usually stop at Hendre Mynach, but we specify we don't want electricity and he puts us on the general camping field instead of a marked pitch, which is cheaper.

There's a number of options behind Black Rock Sands around Morfa Bychan, the cheapest of which (at £10 a night per adult) is Broken Link Removed to the left of the main beach entrance (you can drive onto the beach), just behind the dunes. If there's more than two of you it's cheaper (£24 flat rate) at Glan Morfa-mawr nearby which has far better facilities.

Maybe too far north for you but you used to be able to wild camp on the road to Caernarfon Airport

Not especially low cost but Shell Island is always an option.
