On the docks, you can't get nearer than that, just don't go to early to make sure all sailings have gone, then just get in a line ready for your sailing.

Rooksbury Park CC site near Wickham is Handy.

Look up Whale island way, ------ there is a 24hr car park before the road goes over the bridge. This road leads to one place the navy base therefore only navy personnel would know about it.
It is next door to the ferry terminal, as you turn off the roundabout keep right and turn first right on the bend. It's on the left before bridge.

I can recommend this link stayed there many times and if you have a word with the security guards they may give you the wifi password.

I have a house there, and whenever the boat is out of the water for anti-fouling etc you find yourself in the car park working alongside other boat owners, many of whom are overnighting in their campers to make best use of the time available. So there are always vans there plugged in to anybody else's EHU.
