not daft at all but it doesn’t come on unless I press the 12v button on the control panel above the door regardless if the ignition is on.

That leads me to believe it is definitely on the leisure side but where I have no clue.

Have you had a look behind the control panel itself just in case it's linked to that directly or piggy-backed to another connector?

I haven't but that would be a heck of task trying to get the cable to run from the very back almost to the front throuh a lot of walls/ceilings. I would of thought the dealer would of took the quickest route in terms of time as i wasn't paying :) i will see if i can get the control panel off and see whats behind it.

Only took a couple as wanted to get it sorted before the rain came (worrying over nothing as it never came till today :)) checked the seal just a moment ago and it looks good so should keep out the water.

I'm planning to install the same antenna on the roof of our new to us M/home, so thanks for lots of useful information. Quick question about the hole saw - you mentioned a Starrett one. Just been on their web site and they seem to make a very large variety. Which one did you get (and the associated arbor too!)?

I used this one here and this one from amazon, worked ok for me. Scary drilling through a six figure vehicle though, measure twice drill once :)

OK- thanks @zac. must admit I'm worried about anyhting that may be passing through the roof. @Lenny HB - you had an exsis578 - is there anything going through the roof from back to front??

Only thing I'm aware of is a length of trunking with a power cable to the lights in the roof light, it runs crosswise,on my DL it's to towards the rear of the roof light running across to the RHS. You can find it by dropping the roof light surrounding off.

Wish I'd seen this thread earlier as I have a spare 25mm hole I drilled in the wrong place and had to remove.
Haven't found another use for it yet so you could have had it free of charge except postage.
It's very light so postage would be minimal.

I have loads in all sizes. Mine are installed in an annular metal surround for strength (and so they're easy to find). I do have some like yours but I've never seen them.
