We have been thinking about moving to Norfolk for a while now because Whitby where we live now has become far too busy even in the winter. We like messing about in boats so near or on the broads would be nice . We stayed in the CC Broadlands site in Ludham recently and took a trip to Norwich and were very impressed with the town and the variety of shops and restaurants there.

You say you want train to Norwich but fancy Aylsham, well you do know that there is a park and ride on the main Norwich to Aylsham road witch would take about 15mins from Aylsham then 15mins to get into heart of Norwich.

They would obviously have to drive to the P&R , the Sanders service bus does stop nearby though, the P&R hasjust recieved a fleet of new buses, but the cost of concession tickets has risen 10p to £1.80 each return into the city.

Nothing between North Norfolk coast and the north pole - can be very cold!

Love Sheringham and the Broads though!

Why not move to Norwich  - then the coast and other areas will be in easy reach by train [other forms of transport available]

House prices in East Anglia are on the rise according to todays news..
All these city type "baby boomers" moving up from London have certainly had an input to that. The place is thick with them round here.
It must be because we are all so friendly and welcoming !!
We should tell them all that we have church bells that ring and cockerels that crow and it smells of "muck" all the time.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Oi! Leave King's Lynn alone it's not that bad. Mind you the main post office was moved into the local WH Smith's some years ago. A town this size and a PO with two counters open today when I had the misfortune to queue up for 30 minutes while the wife was elsewhere in town. Living just outside we can get into town fairly quickly by car, by bus or even on foot via the ferry so not all bad.

I do not know if the radio club still does it, but once a year they set up a tent and all the radio stuff on Hunstanton cliff top. You can stop to ask questions etc , they was very open and would tell you all about what was going on.

Returning to the OP (?): are you aware of the limited places to park a MH on the North Norfolk coast? Even a car is problematic in terms of getting a sea view.

IMO the best views are at Hunstanton (foc but not overnight). Cromer has a nice cliff-top carpark (at a price and sometimes with a height barrier). Between them there is almost nothing, although you can get down to some little spots such as the hard at Burnham Overy Staithe or the carpark at West Runton.

East of Cromer you need to go to Mundesley and Bacton/Walcott and then to Caister/Gt Yarmouth.

Not trying to put you off: just checking if you've done the right sort of research - Gordon

Gosh didnt realise there had been further postings on this. Thank you Gordon.
Yes we have stayed many times in North Norfolk in our MOHO and know what you mean regards limited paking there. To be fair, it would be unlikely that we would take the MOHO to coastal car parks if living in North Norfolk anyway. We would go in the car.
We have decided to cast the net wider regarding where we go and drop the train station requirement. Just too expensive/not enough space for all my classic cars that i will acquire plus the MOHO.

We spent Christmas/New Year just gone in North Norfolk. Heacham, Hunstanton, Wells, The Burnhams etc ... Absolutely blown away (literally by the weather on New Years Eve!! ;) but also by the scenery, kindness of local people (extra marks), the beer ( more extra marks), food (even more extra marks). It was our first visit to the area but we will definitely be back.
As @Jackspeak says - Kings Lynn is on the doorstep with its train connections to London but the coast is another world away

Many, many years ago I used to maintain BR's ontrack machinery, and spent some time in the sidings at Reedham, (Norwich to Lowestoft line) I can remember laying on the roof of the tamper basking in the sun. :D Nice area, but like most of Norfolk, a bit of a pain to get to.

Actually found somewhere we like near Holt. Just a matter of selling our pad and getting them to accept what we want to pay. Fingers crossed. Perfect for us as nice secret place to park MOHO away from prying eyes

I'm impressed you managed to find any local people in any of those areas!
Most of the Norfolk coast is a ghost town until the weekend comes, then its full of second home owners!:)

You will have to buy a Barbour jacket, riding breeches and boots, drive like a tw@t in a black Range Rover, tow a black Labrador everywhere, and say
OK yar to everybody, not that I'm saying they are stereotyped at all !.

Agree in some places but this village didnt seem like that. Didnt see a single range rover.... Definitely seems to be tha case along the coastline though. A lot of very expensive empty houses.
