My favourite radio station (Planet Rock) is raising money for the charity, MIND (https://www.mind.org.uk/) to help folk with mental health problems. I suffer myself so want to help raise funds.

Last year when Jim was raising funds for his daughter, I offered a free week in our villa and the auction raised £500.

I want to offer the same prize, but they have nowhere to host a raffle. Is there anywhere that a raffle could be held, ONLINE?

TIA for help and advice

The organiser could ask a local hotel to donate use of a room ( bidders are bound to buy drinks at the bar)
Ask local council to donate use of a hall.
Depends where they’re based. They could ask a local business to sponsor the cost of hiring a suitable room/hall.
Turn it into a black tie event where bidders buy tables of 8/10/12, have a meal, then have auction after everyone has eaten ( and drunk a fair amount)
Ask a local football club / race course to offer space for the auction

Great ideas, but I was thinking online where everybody could have a go.

If it’s a radio station they must have a website, I’d have thought anyway.
Or they do it on air as Radio 2 do each year. Auction a different item each hour, listeners call in/ email their bid.

Have you emailed Wyatt and told him what you want to do? He is doing the cycle ride hoping to raise £75,000 for Mind.

As each presenter has their own email address it might be worth asking him if he could auction off a week at your place on one of his shows, then people could email in their bids during the show. They could maybe auction off some PR merchandise or donated things from other presenters at the same time. I think Wyatt would be the most open to the idea.

Good luck
