Crossing from Hull late May for two weeks and originally intended to go Mosel Rhine Koblentz etc again.

However we can go anywhere, such is the freedom of motor homing. What would you do from Rotterdam?

We are going over to the hook in July and heading fir North Germany area. We stopped at a little port on a Baltics cruise called Warnemunde near Rostock. Lovely area so we are heading off there. You are right so much choice cant wait until we can go for longer :)

Getting there!
Baltic Coast for us this year. Want to get over to Peenemunde and Prora. Hopefully Berlin and Harz Mountains on the way back.

Last Oct we started at Gouda (€8 inc electric) then moved to Gaaspar Camping at Amsterdam - a bit regimented but good for access to the city. Almere Haven, just a few miles away, was peaceful & relaxing.
A steady drive down the A6 took us towards Shokland, with an interesting history as an island in the past.
Vollenhove was OK but we weren't overly impressed with Giethorn (advertised as a "chocolate box village").
We ended up in Lingen in Germany, which was a lovely town on a canal (€5 plus electric BUT we got some already paid for).
Dummersee was very relaxing and free (€0.50 for 3h elec?).
Buckeburg has an aire (€7 pn + elec) in the grounds of the castle and is really nice.
River views are included at the aire in Nienburg (€5 pn + elec): a lovely city with some interesting shops nearby. We stayed 2 nights.
Back into The Netherlands for a free night at Delfzjil (no water supply!) but it was foggy so we moved on, but the nearby EemsHotel was very interesting.
Lauersmeer on the coast was lovely, with views over the lake. Lots of wildlife here along with good showers (€15).
Harlingen, another port city with good views, was €6 plus elec (some of the polarities were reversed!).
We had another night at Almere Haven and finished off at the marina in Gorinchem, on the banks of the Rhine (€10).

A good time, with lots of other bits inbetween those mentioned - Gordon

Have a great hol Techno, go where the sun shines, we stayed at Delfthouse Camping last September had the best ice cream ever in Delft on the canal side there. Can also recommend Marken, Volendam, Waterland and Edam too. The new food market in Rotterdam is stunning tonlook around though a bit pricey and you can easily get the train from Delft, if you have bikes leave them under the station in a massive cycle park.

Hi Andy & Jacs. :)

When we were on that crossing last year, the Dutch police breathalysed "every driver" that came off the ferry in the morning, and if you were over the top, they just parked you up for a few hours until you could pass the test. I passed the first time with flying colours. ;)

Have a great time away, and grab some sunshine to colour those milky white Yorkshire complexions. (y) We head back to Blighty on 4th June.

Stay safe,

Jock ( & Rita). :)
