Having explored most o the depths of the wiring of our MH, Swift 656. Ive come across another issue - TV ariel connection. When connected to the roof mounted ariel all is fine, as long as there is a local signal, when there is no signal its a hook up to the site "piped" wire which normally provides a good reception.
My external connection is like most, in the leisure battery compartment, so when I connect a tv wire to the external port and then the internal socket to the TV there is no signal, if I run the cable directly in through the window into the TV (I HATE doing this) then it works fine. Deduction is obviously that the wire is not connected.
I have run a earth check with my elctrical meter and its confrimed the external connector and the internal port are not connected! The wire does run from inside the battery box, runs under the seat and dissapears into the sub frame, in the direction of the internal connection port - not to be seen again! It doesnt connect to the TV ariel port on the wall inside the unit, this has only one coneection which Ive traced back to the roof mounted areil (via a boost box).
Anyone else suffered this or have a solition?
Thanks
