We have a Garm Camper 770LMT-D sat nav. I our previous MH (Coachbuilt) we just mounted it on the windscreen. We have changed MH to A Frankia A Class - and the windscreen is a bit too far away. How do folks mout there Sat Navs?

Had an Adria A class. Mounted it next to me by the steering wheel (Right hand side) . Easy for me to look at it and adjust to suit.
Found it ideal because i could adjust without too much difficulty

What on ? The suction cup wont attach to the dashboard.

Buy one of the special mounting rings / disc and glue that to the dashboard with double sided tape

I mount mine on a piece of Perspex stuck to heater duct on my Hymer.

Suction cup type...normally there is a arm rest or a cupboard for the map books etc just stick it to that
Worked well for us. Just depends on what you have by you near the steering wheel?

The mount is an articulated ball joint and can be taken off the actual holder or the base element that is fixed to a surface. I screwed mine as it is a 10 inch tablet. To be honest probably the best way. I did that on the Flair and removed it for the Morelo. I put a couple of plastic caps in the residual holes for aesthetics when we sold it.

Not got an A class, but used Brodit clip to mount the satnav on the drivers door side vent. Brodit do a large range of clips for all sorts of vehicles, worth checking.

Another vote for the Garmin bean bag. It can be moved about so it’s not blocking any views, it’s like mirrors, different drivers need to adjust things, especially if they are different heights.

I use one of these for mine doesn’t move at all

Here is an idea I got from Stewart J for doing exactly what you want on an A Class. Mine is an Adria Sonic LHD and it seems to do the job as my satnav has the internal dash cam👍

Looks interesting. Hiw us fixed to the “document holder”?
It’s one of those tablet holder document holder things!! I didn’t realise it could be used horizontally with the clamps until Stewart J shown me some pics in another thread, just have to fold the SIDE lever in when putting it back down👍

Use a piece of perspex curved to fit document/list holder profile. Have drilled and screwed Garmin mount to the end and used draft excluder to de-bounce. Fits under the paper clip.

Would get a photo but recovering from first post lockdown visit from the grandchildren try and remember tomorrow but don't count on it.

Works ok and with have to see if the change of curve to fit new van causes any problems with the suction mount of the dash cam in front of it. (similar ish to post above from WESTY66)

Ended up with this arrangement our last MH had the doc holder fixed as cab aircon prevented it being raised (they said)

And didn't want to stick anything to the dash.

Should have said, since adding a dash cam to the Perspex it's a bit more sensitive to vibration so have added a small blob of blue tack under the sat nav to stop and possible bounce triggering a dashcam G sensor save.

I’ve bought a self adhesive disc firm Halfords and stock it on the dash ( the middle bit where the clip board thing is). The satnav suction cup fixed it to the disc

Thanks everyone. I’m going to try the been bag thing and if that doesn’t work out, I’ll try one of the stick-on solutions.. The brodit holders look good if i get there..

Just to add to post yesterday, a couple of photos of the Perspex sheet and Garmin mount.

Just a quick question is there a technique to cutting Perspex to avoid it looking like I have used my teeth instead of a saw ?
