Where Can I go and What Can we do this weekend?

If your children like outdoor activities, how about the Peak District? Blue John mines, you could also check if the cable car is running to the Heights of Abraham near Buxton.
or Lake District ?

Might be a bit far for you, Brighouse bay at Kircudbright is great for kids.

Take a look at Fell End caravan park near Milnthorpe (Pure Leisure Group) if an indoor pool is what you are looking for. Nice rural setting but it’s years since I’ve been. There is a small wildlife centre nearby (if it’s still open) and we enjoyed watching the meerkats and there antics. There is a cafe also.

North West UK, around 1-2 hours or so from Manchester
A 3 year old, 7 and 11 year old
Two Nights

We went to Holgates Silverdale last time as it had indoor pool etc.
I’ve had a look at that site. £39 for a pitch and £5.50 to use the pool seems a bit steep! Seaview Caravan Site at Seahouses is a bit cheaper and the leisure facilities are included.

York. The free railway museum and many other attractions you have to pay for.

Way too far, thanks, that's the North East!

Sat in Southport looks good.

Went last year and was okay, will consider that.

It was worth it as we had plenty of walks and it has a lot for everyone. Immaculate too.

The facilities are spotless and the leisure centre is brilliant. They have a nice pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and gym, all included in the price of the pitch. They also have a lovely bar/coffee lounge, which also serves meals. We like the fact that everything here is within walking distance. The beach is amazing, the town is nice, there are fish and chips, an Indian, shops and The Links Hotel serves really great meals.
