Where are all the Motorhomes/Campervans

After waiting in, until the schools went back, before we ventured out in the van, we have been in the Chester/Shropshire area for past couple of days, and have been surprised just how few MH’s/Campervans that we have seen on the road. We thought that there would have been loads, judging on the up take in people buying up all the stock from dealers etc.
Not moaning, as have been able to get parked up with no issues but Where is everyone?

Well so far this year we have spent more time cleaning and modifying them, than using them. Looks like it will be the same for the rest of the year.
I have booked a couple of nights on the IOS just to get out of the prison as SWMBO Calls it

During the last couple of weeks we've had a a number of jaunts to Norfolk, we've seen plenty of other's on the road.

Dozen motorhomes at Lands End today even though visibility was 100 yards
40 plus yesterday at Sennen Cove
One in 15 vehicles on A30 (Devon / Cornwall) seemed to be a Motorhome
Tintagal last week end was full
Lots on Campsites
Appledore car park was full

We’ve been Shropshire last week and this week we are on the east coast of Scotland and we’ve seen hundreds of mohos, campers and caravans on the road, most sItes up here are at capacity

Agreed. Been there twice since "unlockdown" and full both times!

I've been regularly travelling between Fenland and Somerset every couple of weeks for the past couple of months looking after my mother, there seems to be far more motorhomes then I usually see on the roads, especially once you hit the M5/M4 area, may just be that I'm feeling rather jealous that we can't get away ourselves at present and I am subconsciously noting every single one. Speaking to one of my sisters who lives near St Ives she says that Cornwall is wall to wall motorhomes and caravans at the moment.

Lots running about in N. Wales. Currently near Llandudno at a THS with the C&CC. Must be 60+ caravans and motorhomes here
Plus the regular camping site of the site looks reasonably busy.

Only basic site for this year, but may add more facilities in the future see our website below for more details. Or ask tonka who was here recently.

Our daughter and partner was in Scarborough when we last spoke in their VW camper.
We was surprised to see so many in camping javea today when we cycled past.

Just spent three nights on the C&MC site at Tewksbury. It was completely full each night and is virtually fully booked until mid-October according to the site manager. Roughly 50-50 motorhomes and caravans.

In trying to book both of the Club Sites we have found difficulty as they are both pretty fully booked for weekends.

There doesn’t seem to be any shortage of m/hs or caravans out and about in our experience.

Our freedom to roam is becoming severely curtailed because of weekends being booked up so far in advance. We do use CLs and CSs but are wary of grass only pitches in the Autumn and Winter, from prior experience.
