Where Are All The Brits?

We left Blighty via the tunnel on 7th Sept and travelled through France towards Spain making 1 and 2 day stopovers through France and Northern Spain. We noticed that although there were plenty of French, German, Netherlands vans, with a smattering of of Belgium vans there was a noticeable absence of the Brits.
Anyway we have found them! We pulled into Bonterra Resort(Park) this afternoon and you can't move for UK vans and people not speaking Spanish, German, French etc.
Not complaining, the site is lovely and I can see the attraction.
On another note, travelled down the AP 7 toll free all the way from the border, we passed two toll booth areas that have been decommissioned with new lanes running straight through.

In London or no Schengen days. Maybe away in the UK enjoying the reasonably fair weather or elsewhere ,saving Schengen days

A few more, I might add...there is a possibility that a Toll road system will be re- introduced in Spain in the near future..so what we have a enjoyed over the past few years may be short lived...2024 is the proposed introduction...so enjoy next year.

About 4 Brit vans at Gravelines the first night we came over and seen about 2 dozen traveling along the Mosel..
Now in Bavaria since yesterday and not seen any yet.

We've seen a few UK vans on our travels in Germany and France. There are 4 Brit vans on the municipal site in Blaye at the moment.

Still not many Brit vans in the Spanish interior (Burgos region) Had a chat with young guy who lives in Portugal a couple of days ago..he was off back to the UK to get his van Taxed and Tested.....fantastic ex Ambulance self build....took my fancy...,

I have just come back from a week in Germany and Holland with our son. The only brits we met were on the pitch next to us in Wolfsburg on the second day. It was uncanny that they were from just up the road from us in Lincolnshire and were heading west after staying in Potsdam.
The majority of vehicles on the boat from Harwich were from Poland.

The Vera > Cartagena 'ghost highway ' is still a toll road.
As jumar said not only are they proposing reintroducing the toll roads but it will include all the previously free autovias. If it hadn't been for the halfwit in russia causing energy & fuel crisis it would probably have been in place long ago.

There is at least 10 British vans on the aire at Souston Plage, this is the most British VansI have seen abroad for 3 years. Must have plenty of money as it is 17 euros a night
