We have found the same. At the moment we are on the Aire in St Denis d’Oleron and we are the only Brits! The same on the way down except at Nonancourt where we Brits outnumbered the French:LOL: Bumped into Derek & June @Portland there!

We are all on the way home. :(
Several Brits here at La Mailleraye, including @Sparkly, who is parked next to us.

Like you though, we really haven’t seen many Brits in our six weeks.

Richard.

IMO It's down to the availability of Aires and little or no restriction as to where you can sleep in your van....in other words there are just more French registered MHs

Been in France and Northern Spain for over 3 weeks...hardly any Brits....mostly French then German and Dutch

Most of the aires we have been on for the last few weeks have been rammed full of French vans with just the odd Brit, yet the commercial aire we are on now in Locronan, which is a gorgeous small town full of tourists only has us and two German vans. The car parks dotted around the town have loads of French vans on them and there is a never ending stream of vans stopping at the barrier to our aire, reading the notice and driving off. The reason? It's nearly 10€ for the night to stay with no electricity. Obviously the exchange rate has put Brits off coming but I think we have a long way to go to match the French for parsimony!

Very few British in Alsace, such a beautiful area (as is the rest of France) but plenty of French Dutch, German and strangely Danes.

Talmont-sur-Gironde right now, spent last two weeks making our way down from Cherbourg.

Barely seen another Brit!

I’m not complaining, makes me feel like I’m actually abroad

You weren't there yesterday when we passed through.

I am afraid Dun sur Meuse has lost it some how especially now that you can only park 'car-park' style and not along the bank by the farm. I gather that the talkative French lady no-longer collects the money and you should go the the captainairy (spelling) to pay.
We are now at Mouzon where the facilities are similar but as everyone says very few English seen during the past four weeks. There is one here with us tonight making two English, one French, one Belgian and one German.

@Portland Hi Derek and June have a safe journey and a good time in Benidorm, we should have been there 2 weeks ago but we’ve had to put everything on hold.
Hope to meet up again next year.

John, Pat and Roxy.

We have just returned from five months in France and, yes, we have noticed the absence of Brit m/hs this year.

Strangely we have seen an increase in Swiss and Swedish m/h s, something we have never noticed before.

We noticed a number of Swedish m/hs on our way north through France. I would surmise they are on their annual migration to the sun in Spain.

"Where are all the Brits?"

Maybe some are hiding away from other Brits in order to broaden their minds by absorbing a bit of different cultures, meeting other nationalities and experiencing new stuff...

On the other hand, I guess (only guess) that if one wants to meet lots of Brits, then Blighty might be a good place to start.

When we were in Spain late spring we noticed a lot more French. Spoke to a few of them who said that their country is now too expensive. They were getting fed up with the expense of tolls and the prices of drink and foodstuffs. Maybe some of the brits are turning their backs on France for the same reason.
