Tried that when we bought our Rapido last month - dealer said cam belt is not included in the full service given before we picked it up. I am a worrier and the motorhome was 5 years old but only 12,000 on the clock so asked dealer to replace cam belt plus an air conditioning belt? We agreed a cost price tho as otherwise would of been ÂŁ500. Worth it for piece if mind tho as find enough to worry about without waiting for the engine to blow up!This also begs the question: You buy a second-hand motorhome from a dealer that has had 'a full service', and the said motorhome was, say, 5 years old and no mention of cambelt change in the service history. I would suggest that if the belt breaks within the next four years because it had not been changed the dealer would be liable for the full cost of repair.
