Howdy all.
I've been quiet for a bit after my initial foray in here. Looking for recommendations for wheel clamp or locks. We have steel wheels and plastic trims and I'm worried whatever I buy will damage the trims or I'll need to faff about taking the trim off to fit. I've looked at loads so far and not sure at all. I'd preferably like to get something fitted before the van gets nicked. I'm thinking the visibility of the wheel clamp will provide more of a visual deterrent than the Milenco steering wheel lock I have on now, especially since the blinds are closed when we're not in the van.

Cheers
Steven

Just had a look. my tyres are 225/75/R16 so can't work out which fits so far

looking more carefully I think this is my model. I’m surprised it doesn’t list 16” wheels though as it even fits my Land Rover with 16” wheels and big mid tyres fitted.

It’s big, heavy, and really noticeable. Which is exactly what I wanted.

Mine.

and it fits wheel with hubcap fitted, and has a protective layer so won’t damage your wheel or cover. Think mine is the 230F model.
I'd feel a damn sight happier if the lock on the Titan was an 'ordinary' lock rather than one of those 'round' jobbies.
You can buy the pick set to circumvent the circular ones.
The Fiamma door lock has now moved to a slotted lock that in my mind is more secure from being picked.

I should say tho, I do feel a bit daft calling everyone by their nicknames on here

You'll get used to the forum names  Better for home security as many of us post from our travels so best not to give out full real name & home location. It's not just lovely Funsters who can read our posts...

the window catch things look good I must say. I never thought of that area. I'm getting a bit worried now as you all look like you've got a lot more security than I have...so far.

There are two schools of thought - those who add all security deterrents that they can afford (like us!) & those who would rather avoid the damage that could be caused by someone attempting to overcome the said deterrents so personal choice. Many of us Funsters do like modifications & accessories too so that may also be why there are so many options!

Yes I am on a Harley owners group and one of the members has problems with his ignition switch of the same design. Others mentioned the picks to use then take to a locksmith to get keys made from them. Hmmm a bit of a worry

Yes there is the worry of damage but I will be going for the extra security. The more visible the better

You should take basic steps to protect yourself on any public space on the web.

for instance, don’t use your real name, don’t use your real date of birth, be vague about your location, just give a county or county town.

my date of birth on any forum is based on iron maiden 666 the number of the beast nothing to do with my birthday.

my nickname for the last 30 years or has been Boris, ive added 7 so people who know me can’t seperate me from the PM

my nationally is also fake and my photo is never really me
