There is a leisure battery under our 737 passenger seat and today I took a look under the driver seat and there is something under there too. Looks like a black plastic case/box and has a small circular button type thing on one corner.

I think its your Jack/Tyre lever/towing eye

As you are from Sheffield it could contain a pigion + flat cap:)

It doesn't seem to want to come out & I didn't want to force it incase I broke something. Does the drop down panel under the seat come off easily?

Not sure but you are correct not to force it.
If you push it bak in does the door lft off at the bottom?
If you look at the photo it seems it might lift up when half open

Thank you sir, Looking closer the plastic drop down panel is easily removed by applying pressure to the 2x catches on the base. The case is then free to slide out & upon opening does indeed reveal the towing eye. Jack & Tyre lever.

Turn the knob and the lid will lift off. As suggested wheel changing goodies. I don't think the tray comes out, but the front panel will come off at the 'hinges' at the bottom. They just clip on to the bar.
There's similar on tother side, a small oddments tray.

Bugger, too slow at typing!:)

Personally I'd ditch the 'case' as it takes up a load of unnecessary room, that way you can put some other useful bits in there, like a few tools (in a suitable bag of course!).

More than toes wet now!
We've got the same unit with jack, etc under the passenger seat and a flat open topped tray \ container under the drivers seat. Use this store all the useful stuff. Hammer, sockets, spanners, etc, etc, etc...
