Has anybody any idea what this is? As you can see it is situated between water filler and rear locker on nearside. We are in the process of buying this MH, the salesman didn't know either. The MH is a Bessacar 562 (2013 plate.)
Coincidentally I watched a Practical Motorhome review of this model and the presenter made reference to it too, again not knowing what it was.

Thanks

Paul

Difficult to see in the pic as it is in shadow but, if it has holes for pins it is probably a power point for a water pump. The pump can be dropped into a water container in order to top up your onboard tank.

I hesitate to be positive about it because any competent sales person should have recognised it if so.

That's exactly what it is, I had one on my swift and used it to plug in my submersible pump when filling the fresh water from my rollalong.

Make sure you ask for the connector that plugs in to it as part of the deal. They can be hard to find.

That was quick! Sorry about poor picture but from memory it does have 2 holes.

It's not a reflector - Promise It is a 12V supply for a submersible pump.

From someone who used one.

I'm an oldbie MH number 10
it's a turbo injector for use for speed charging the lithium batteries you are going to be fitting in a few years.
you plug in there from the power source at home and bingo instantly charged.

Then when on your way to a campsite, you press the horn in sequence of short short long long short and it transports you fully to the site of your choice..

They are great bits of kit but tbh I am waiting for the Chinese to come in first so the price comes down.

It also looks as if someone's tried to fill without removing the cap. Perhaps they didn't know where to put the key?

Make sure you put its stopper on as otherwise all the electrickery in the van will dribble out and run down the side panel. Thats why you sometimes get static shocks when touching things, but not a lot of people know that.

Very handy for 12v bike tyre pumps if you get the right plug for it.

We don't use ours for water.

Just been to buy a new (second hand) car and the salesman, who was a really nice young chap told me he was off to the NEC next week to help represent one of our major UK motorhome builders on their stand. Problem was that he admitted he knew absolutely nothing about Motorhomes!!

They only need to know how to close a deal.
It's no wonder we punters get confused when the people we seek information from just blag, we end up with a different story from each one we see. I shall be off to the NEC again but often wonder why, I rarely gain much from the people I meet.

You don’t say which builder so we can avoid wasting our time.

Reminds me of the time I went to look at a Transit-based autosleeper at a dealer, Is it rear-wheel drive ? I asked, No, FWD says him, I had a quick look under the back,- there was the rear axle with a big bulge in the middle, AKA differential.....
I didn't buy from him....
Cheers, Dave(y)

And, when I was buying a toad, I asked the salesperson what the weight of it would be. He didn't know but thought he could get away with "Six to eight weeks, Sir."
