Hi , could anyone tell me the best place to advertise please. I Haveadvertised in free ads, gumtree and here. In fact I can't even find my ad on here. Any advice would be much appreciated

So depends on the price point you aspire to achieve.
The heat has gone out of the market it seems to me, I see adverts suggesting tried it it's not for me, or similar.
Maybe a local dealer who is low on stock might do a sale or return sale.
But be careful make sure you have a written agreement ensuring the vehicle remains your sole property until funds are in your bank, that is not as easy as you may consider, but I am cynical.
Here is not a bad forum, are you a member did not notice?

Have you tried ringing a few dealer.. Will give you some item on your lowest expected price.

For a private sale ebay but as a classified advert, fixed time and cost.. However get ready to deal with some scammers, time wasters etc..
Good buyers are out there but its catching the right one.

We sold both of our motorhomes on Gumtree. The first for 28500 the second for 16000. Each one sold in less than 48 hours!

We sold two Motorhomes on Motorhome Depot very quickly. They send their local agent out and they go through everything, taking up to 100 photos. They list everything and charge a fixed fee (around £2000). They give you advice on price but the final figure is down to you. They also arrange finance for the buyer etc. which can be a big help when selling expensive vans. They sometimes buy themselves for cash. The MH stays with you and they handle all the sales enquiries and usually take a deposit from the buyer before coming to view.

I just bought my motorhome last month but I was looking since last summer. Have you put on lots of good photos? The worst thing I saw with private sellers was poor quality photos (sideways, didn't show all the internal layout). Good luck with the sale!

I found there was a reluctance for private buyers to spend a sizeable amount of money on a complex vehicle without the benefit of a dealers warranty even though they would pay a premium. In the end I got what I was expecting from a private sale from 4front. Worth a try and vey straightforward process. Gave me a valuation on the phone based on my honest description, paid £1000 deposit and I dropped if off later that week

I have sold two motorhomes on ebay and purchased one never any problems

Sold our old Moho through Motorhome Depot.com in January, their agent (who was brilliant) came to our house and he did everything photos, advertising and agreed a price that we wanted, he sold it to the first viewer who was a really nice guy, the best thing is the vehicle never left our property and the money was deposited in my bank before the keys were handed over and the vehicle driven away.

Would highly recommend this service from Motorhome Depot.com

Sold ours on Facebook last year, first to view inside 24hrs, had a list of 5 more waiting, got the same as we bought for 8 years previously.

Would still proceed with caution though, had all the normal '' whats the lowest you will take'', ''can transfer the money without viewing'' etc, you soon get a feel for the genuine, as the old saying goes, if it seems to good to be true it probably is !

As an aside we bought our second van privately just before lockdown 1 kicked in, so we were carrying two vans for 18 months, but it all payed off in the end.

Good Luck

Thanks for the advice. I think we have sold it subject to a few bits and pieces. Will miss her though

take it to Dolphin leisure in Christchurch and see what they offer
