I usually login a couple of times a day, use the "What's New" tab and then navigate to the "Threads below have not been updated since your last visit." page.

But finding that page is a bit hit-and-miss.

Is there an easy way?

You could save the 'what's new page, url as your login page but you would still need to scroll down to find the 'non-updated' threads.

If they haven't been updated since my last visit I don't bother to look at them 'cos I've already seen them.

I tend place on ignore the threads I’m not interested in. Schengen, TV, Covid, Wi-fi etc. This means I only really have threads I’m interested in on my what’s new page. There was at one time an ignore symbol on the what’s new page next to each thread. This made ignoring threads very easy and straight forward without having to open each one.

Yes, I can see that filtering would improve matters, but the problem would still be there.

But then I would feel that I might be missing something of interest...

Try using the “watch” tab then when you get an alert when someone adds to it, click on it and it will take you straight there.

Isn't that for a specific thread? But I want all new additions ...
