The material that goes around the overcab bed in an A Class, Its stretchy. Alans took his off for a wash, looks like it hasn't been washed in the 10 yrs its been on the van. Its very dirty and worn in places. Must be easy enough to make another with the right material.

That looks a bit flimsy for a bed surround our Hymer has a much heavier thermal material.

The surround in my rapido is thick calico material. Some others use a stretchy polyester that does not crease when the bed is put away

It'll probably be made with spandex or elastane as it looses it's stretchness over time and becomes see through, have a word with one of the van re upholstery companies👍

Thanks for all your help everyone. It would appear to be Nylon spandex.. Stealaway link has led me to hopefully finding the item in an ebay store based in Leeds, hopefully we can actually call in next time we are back at Alans . (y)

Make sure whatever you buy is fire proof or treated, you may like getting all hot and bothered in bed but not literally from 'Burning love' due to friction!!!! :xrofl:

Our Pilote just has a fairly thick velour bedsheet like material with 'knicker elastic' sewn in at a couple of angles to take up the slack when the bed is up.

I think ours is a type of Nylon-Hymer-so yours could be same and maybe cut on the bias. When I feel brave enough I’m going to sew new material onto the old material as it has the fixings top & bottom and I don’t think I can transfer fixings!
