Has it been in an accident before you bought it Paul.
Other than that our Auto Sleeper Broadway gets a large gap BT the bench toilet when in hot sun, it also had to go back to Auto Sleeper in it's first year as you could see the joins through the side panel between the fridge vents, they had to re fibre glass it and new graphics.

Looks like delamination which is usually caused by moisture in the panels which causes the panels to swell and come apart.
Hope not but its common on RVs.

Check under for exposed edges of wallboard. This wicks rainwater up and can cause it.

Is that round the wheel arches our Hymer Exsis is much same! But you look like there's a lump forming in the panel sorry I was looking at the gap by the top of arch covers should have gone to spec savers?
As said previously looks like damp in there somewhere is that a window above? Need to check seals around it.

Hi Paul

It certainly looks like the window needs to come out for a re-seal, once its out you should have a better idea what is/has been going on but it dont look good.

Looks like water getting in at window and running down the joint between front and side panel and getting inside panel img at bottom of that cover fillet almost looks like the front has had a shunt and crumpled the panel.

No rc and the van has not had a bump ever

May be worth contacting Rapido to ask if it is a known problem.
"info@rapido.Fr"
Anthony Pfaff is the contact I have used in the past, generally very helpful.
Cheers

Ok so here's the update. I had it looked at by a really nice guy who owns a motorhome repair shop in Warrington. It was as I had explained to him. Basically the seal had broken so I had to have the skin re-bonded and then the seal redone, I also had the sealant replaced around the window. I had all the trim removed around the wheel arch and inspection underneath carried out. The result was that I had caught the ingress in good time and that it was a relatively straight forward repair.
The total cost of the repair was £420. Sounds a lot and I could probably carried it out myself but at the end of the day it's a good solid repair and I haven't got my hands dirty.
