Leaving son home alone (he is 32!) and going to St Ives, Cornwall for Christmas week then onto Looe for the New Year's Eve street party

Quiet one this year, just 4 or 5 of us. Then off to France for new year.

Usual at home with daughters and brother who comes for xmas dinner and when they leave at 6ish we relax. I think the only time we won't be at home xmas is if daughters stop coming. Maybe one year we will use MIL's flat in Spain or cabin in Argyll but I can't envisage a xmas not at home.

My youngest is about to move into his own place and my eldest cant now cross the pond until January so nothing in stone as yet, still in the planing stage....

We're having Christmas lunch with my Mother in Law then coming home and shuting the door to all and sundery until New Years Eve, really looking forward to it being just the 2 of us.

We will sit down to dinner with about a 1/4 of the family, so nice and quiet with only 10 of us round the table
On Boxing day we play host to another lot .. It is tradition that Woman does piles and piles of chips ( the whole family seem to rate her chips as a real treat !! ) then in the afternoon go next door to number one sons for silly games until silly oclock in the morning !

Should all go according to best case scenario, by Christmas Day, I could have a 2.2 kva push button start, Whisper Quiet Onan genny (bought from a Funster, transport arranged by a Funster) fitted into the Hymer...

PLUS...

A fresh stock of Fray Bentos Pies thanks to the consideration of certain Funsters.

Add into the combination my neat little electric oven and we are looking at a delicious feast.

Us, home alone before 10 of the family come to us Boxing Day. New Year we're off to Gatwick for a Canaries to Caribbean cruise. Came a bit out of the blue but all part of our live now and let tomorrow take care of itself philosophy.

Off to South Africa for Christmas & New Year.
Booked before we were told we would be Grandparents.
He will only be 14 weeks at Chistmas but its a lot harder to go than I thought it would be.
My wife has family there so it will be nice to see them.

I sound a bit like a spoilt kid moaning about a great holliday.
