Quickly cast your mind back to 2016 and what was your MH Champagne moment (nothing too risqué, but if it is then better put it in italics so the children can't read it LOL).

You can only choose ONE!

Think ours was attending an Advent ceremony at Turckheim in Alsace in December. Such a pretty village (complete with Christmas lights and decs of course). Very low key but traditional, procession led by the Nightwatchman and the children dressed as elves around the town square, then ceremonial opening of the advent window followed by mulled wine and stollen in the beautiful salle. Felt quite honoured to have been part of it. Definitely a must-see.

Or was it the first time we used an Aire and we didn't get gassed or robbed and hubby realised that Aires are a Good Thing? Oops no, think that was actually end of 2015 (but the warm glow still lingers...;) )

Drawing in to twin lakes for our first fun meet(y)
Twin Lakes isn't far from us, must get there some time. We are going to Blaye this weekend coming, about half hour further on. They have a fantastic wine festival on in the old citadel. Might be my 2017 Champagne moment... LOL

Getting better month by month.
As we only picked up our first MH late Dec 15, can I say all 10,000+ miles covered in 2016 were Champagne moments. Well except when I hit the Canopy on a wall and scraped the side avoiding a trailer with the biggest boat ever on it after leaving @old-mo place. I think Judy was in the traffic jam caused:rolleyes:

Collecting our first Motorhome, best purchase I've ever made and although I'm a t-total, every time I step inside is a champagne moment:love:

Finally after 7 years persuasion, hearing 'wish we had got an external gas point and a cadac years ago'
Nothing will beat the champagne moment of the first motorhome we bought together though, brand new and we loved it.

After the recent split with my wife and the inevitable selling of the Bolero, the excitement of moving in to my own house last summer was a bit of a 'good red wine' moment (lovely, yet expensive) but the excitement of travelling down to the NEC in October, knowing I wasn't returning until a deal had been struck on a new Auto-Sleeper and leaving my deposit, to guarantee a return to the lifestyle I love, was undoubtedly 2016's champagne moment.

I'm hoping that next Thursday will prove to be 2017's equivalent - Handover Day !!

And as the non MH moment the day in September when Oldham rugby league made sure of staying up after its first season in the Championship and grown men reverted to being excited 11 year olds

Tracing the exact location of my G Grandads WW1 exploits in Northern Italy (won Military Cross), staying on a campsite just a few miles away, we even found the exact cave where he was stationed. Emotional.
