I was there with my dad and brother in the seats on the exit from the hairpin. I would have loved to see how he adapted to the modern bikes and way of riding.

loved that. I raced that version of the circuit before bus stops and chicane.I always remember going to Mallory park and watching Mike Hailwood , when it came to leave masses of bikes , pumped with adrenaline , every corner for about 2 miles , the number of riders in the hedge

Did Sheene ever race Hailwood in that era?
I remember Hailwood was in F1 series and Sheene in Gp500. But he did race in British 500/750 championship many times.Don’t think so, if he did I never saw them race together.
