What standard motorhome kit have you never used?

I think I would find an external shower useful and am considering retrofitting one.

What I've never used is the external gas point for a BBQ. I've also removed the carpet from the kitchen area, just have it in the bathroom, bedroom and lounge.

If you are a naturist, OK I can see how it might be useful.

I want to fit an outside shower. When I come back from mountain biking, I'm normally plastered in mud. At the moment, I carefully step into the van on to a surfer changing mat that's supposed to catch all the crud. I still end up with dirt everywhere. An outside shower would be a useful pre-wash for me and the bike.

So far….haven’t used the EHU 🤞.

We’ve used the external shower when feet are covered in sand.

Love having the carpet, especially cosy when it’s cold and wet outside and I’ve had a lovely hot shower.

Haven’t used all the built-in gubbins for TV, as we don’t carry one.

I only use the ladder to the overcab area when parked at home for cleaning that area.
The rest of the time we only put bedding there and cat carriers.
The cats get to the overcab area without a ladder 😳

Edit: clarity

We ARE naturists, but still haven't used the external shower on this van... yet! ;)(y)

Edit to add, Mrs mikebeaches has just pointed out that she did use the outside shower on a previous van a few times.

I forgot to mention the built-in TV bracket that I also haven't used (yet).

Used everything I think and we've only had it about 5 months. Perhaps the only thing not used is the external mains socket and external aerial socket but that's it, don't have an external shower and don't need one for what we do but have used the external bbq gas point a few times now.

I've not used the TV aerial. We took the TV out as soon as we got it.
We removed a large, heavy, ugly TV mounting bracket from the wall of our van when it was brand new.

Managed to get some neat stick on patches that match the wood veneer and mask the holes perfectly. :giggle:

Oh, and we removed the ridiculous net curtain on the dinette window!

Thankfully, that was the only one - previous van had about 4! :(

Carpets, (removed) , Nespresdo pod holder, jack (removed) think that's it.

There is a concertina privacy door between the bedroom zone at the back of the van and the rest of the habitation area towards the front. Never used it.

When we bought the Rienza the TV bracket was under the side bench with all its fittings. After a season of standing our small TV on the worktop we decided the bracket was going.
Someone restoring an older motorhome swapped the bracket for a couple of bottles of plonk.
I don’t think there’s anything else worth trading in but I am sure if management had her way there would some weight saving.

Our TV mount holes are covered with a sheet of brushed steel... so my other half can stick fridge magnets on it for every place that we go.

In the 9 years that I've had my current m/h I haven't used the........

Overcab bed. (No headroom to sit up with a brew).
Window pull-down blinds (I prefer the curtains).
Window pull-down midge screens.
T.V. aerial (I don't carry a T.V.).
Ladder to the roof rack, or the roof rack.
Grip mats.
Bicycle rack. (No bike).
Cooker grill (it's hopeless).
Corner steadies.
Fire extinguisher and fire blanket. 🤞
Spare wheel. 🤞

Double bed 😢 (🤞 )
