So, I was thinking of installing a TV in my MH.
I've got a TV which has pre-installed apps like Netflix, Prime, YouTube etc, and these I will run off the data on my mobile.

But I guess I could use free view as well.

The dealer has given me a list of the accessories that they supply - but I'm not sure which ones I need - I presume I need a bracket for the TV, a powerpoint to plug it in and possibly an aerial if I use free view - this is the list they have given me - any suggestions on choices?

Hi, does your current TV run off 12v? If not will you be using sites with ehu only?

A TV bracket can be picked up on the tinternet for a lot less than quoted and probably a better choice.

Do you need a TV ariel, if you use apps then can you use tethering to your phone

The Avtex TVs in your list run on 12v. All of our vans over the last 17 years have had a combined 12v/mains/aerial socket. If you have one of these, I would think the cable for an aerial will be in place. Have you checked the back of the wardrobe as that is the most usual place for the aerial connection to be.

So my thinking is I need:

1. An outside Aerial - 299
2. An inside Aerial point and 12v socket - 86
3. A Tv bracket - 60
4. A 12v TV - 304 ( although I know I can get this cheaper )

All prices are fitted & with VAT - so about £750 in total....

We don't have an ariel fitted but use only a stand alone satellite on tripod, and firestick, very flexible particularly outside of the uk.
As a start you could fit a 12v TV and use the aps via your phone then you could decide if you want an ariel.

It depends on what you actually watch. We don't watch live TV ever, so I haven't even fitted an aerial to ours. We've got a 22 or 24" 12V Cello TV attached to a double arm bracket in the kitchen. This can be swivelled to watch in the lounge, kitchen or bed.

We went for Firestick over built in smart features, as you can discard a Firestick and get a later model for tuppence, whilst replacing the TV is more expensive and the smart features usually stop working after 18 months once the manufacturer is bored of the specific model you bought.
