Absolute newbie
hi, just bought our first motorhome, a 2015 Dethleffs. Slowly working my way through the handbook which is in German! Came across this switch on the dashboard but it is not contained in the handbook. Sorry to be a plonker but what does it do? It looks like a warning regarding overloaded rear axle.
Cheers.

Up Hill, when climbing steep hills it holds in the lower gears longer before changing up also works downhill giving more engine braking. If you have a heavy van worth using all the time.
It is the same symbol Fiat use in panel vans for heavy loads & does the same job.

Welcome @tuppenytours... w2f

I think you will find it is a (GWDV) grey water dump valve,,

Allows you to dump grey waste as you are driving along...

To be honest, I have no idea.. Sorry... :whistle2:

Hill start assist stops the vehicle rolling back when you start off on a hill, that's not what the "up" button on a Ducato is apparently for, as described by Lenny above.

It is not a hill start that is on permantly on, on Ducato's, as I explaned eairler just holds the gears longer for climbing or decending or when heavily laden loads. Obviously only fitted to Ducato's with auto boxes.

Its a warning not to take a really, really big hot water bottle in the back in case it leaks! :xgrin:

I'm keeping that. It'll be handy even if I never use it.
That button is for when you get pulled over by the DVSA for a weight check. Press that button to magically take some weight off your back axle to get it within limits again.
The magic only works for a short time so use it only when needed :xwink:

On and off for many years.
Now @Lenny HB has answered your question I will offer my suggestion that it is the passenger seat ejector button :)
