So our friends have just bought a lovely Laika and it has this interesting looking feature in the kitchen. Can anyone identify it's intended purpose? Co we can't work it out.

A storage facility for someone who's more than two faced :whistle2: :giggler:

You never know, I was at the London boat show a few years back, and spent a lot of time looking round the money pit boats and picking holes in the weird and wonderful useless stuff they put in them.
My friends into boats, I was more interested in the trade stands as there’s a similarity between our hobbies.

My guess would be accent lighting, it is very nice and different.
The mirror at the back would seem to be for exagerating the effect and the holes in the bottom allow the lighting pattern to diffuse and make the base glow.
I dont think the holes are deep enough to hold any thing from falling over and if it were for any storage I don't think a mirrored back would be used.
When you find out definitely please post for us.

Any hints available from a Laika Brochure maybe?
Please someone get in touch with Laika & ask, the suspense is killing us!
It even looks expensive to manufacture, so it must have a valid use, especially in full view and backlit the way it is.

Does the bit with the holes lift/slide up? If it does then my guess would be that you lift the piece with the holes up, put bottles in then slide it down over the necks of the bottle so they stay in place.

Looks like a shelf that a moth has got at. I'd turn the light off!
(How many are there?)

Good guess but it's fixed and possibly looks bigger in the pics than it is

I'm hoping it's for grappa

It’s for your coffee machine or if you don’t like coffee a minibar.
