what is it called habitation door related

The bottom step in our motorhome is below the levl of the door trim, which now needs replacing, was looking at the doorway in another van today which has a cover/plate which goes over the trim onto the step. have tried my friend google but he is not playing today.
Any idea what the proper name is and where i could get one, probably O'Learys if I knew what to ask for.
