Ok, here's a new one for ya.

What I learnt this weekend in the Motorhome/outdoor....useless of not, what have you learnt?

Ill start you off.
amazed me but whilst running the 31 mile Ultra marathon of Whitby Robin hoods bay and Ravenscar,, the place is beautiful and there is a total of 199 steps of to the top of the Abbey.

There is actually a place called Land of Nod.

Scarborough is in fact quite big.

Friasethorpe beach is only 40 miles from Bill the Drills house.

Looking for a panel van conversion for my sister today as she sold her liaka yesterday.

And after being round 3 second hand dealers I've learned there's some seriously overpriced crap out there and it makes me love my van more and more

I found out you don't need a leisure battery to run your habitation the New Varta Silver. Or similar works just as good if not better, with our new Elevtroblok and Varta Silver the Solar Panel is working more efficiently than ever.

I learnt that I do not always understand what is said in some posts ! :ROFLMAO:

I also learnt that the Post Office credit card makes NO charges for foreign purchases and gives a really excellent exchange rate too !

I've learnt even although it's a 6 berth, I prefer it when there's only 2 of us. :(Daughter travelling with us and has the comfy overcab, did'nt sleep well last night in rear lounge. I laughed this morning when she thought her dad had left out bath towel for her, she dried herself with dog towel.:D

On and off for many years.
I also learnt:

Loch Ness is awesome this time of year
I can cycle 11 miles (with electric assist) and still feel comfortable at the end with my new saddle
People swim in Loch Ness on a regular basis
Wild swimming is what I knew as swimming when a child
My own sewing machine is better and faster than the one I used to alter my friend's mum's blouse that was "ruined" in the wash - it now fits her again.
If you want a meal in The Dores Inn you need to book well in advance
