What happened to the funster that had a new engine in France?

I am useless at searching on here and I have that many posts that I can't find anything but there was a guy a while ago who had to have a complete new engine in France which cost 11 grand, but he was going to try to claim off a garage here who had done the service on it, did he get any joy or is it still ongoing.
Anyone know?
Edit, I hate it when we have these threads that never get to a conclusion.

Can't help with that but if there is a thread I particularly want to see to the end I set a watch on it and if I haven't seen it for a while I look in my watch list to find it again quickly and see if I missed anything

On the search box type the word engine that would get you too many results.
So tell our search engine you want to search for engine but only if it has the word France in the post too. You do that by putting a + sign in front of france. So your search box would look like this.

Engine +France

Simple really, give it a go and you'll see the thread you're looking for

That's good Jim , I have never been able to find anything much before, always had loads of things come up that had nothing to do with what I was after but that worked a treat.

Just adding a couple of words in the searchbox, say Breakdown France Would return every post that had either word

Putting quotes either side of a term will only show you posts with that exact sentence, for example "Breakdown nightmare in France".

Breakdown +France would return all the mentions of Breakdown, but only if France was mentioned.

The minus works too and can help narrow things down

Breakdown +France -Paris. Would show you all the posts with Breakdown and France in the post. But because we have a - in front of Paris we are telling it not to show us any posts about Paris breakdowns

So say I had a Fiat Reversing issue that was nothing to do with Judder, and every time I searched Fiat +Reverse All I saw were hundreds of Fiat Judder posts. I can exclude the word Judder Fiat +Reverse -Judder

Ducato engine/gearbox given up in France.

Our 2014 Ducato based Globecar Campscout ground to a halt yesterday halfway through our tour of France. It suddenly lost power, accompanied by some weird noises from the engine and gearbox area along with a dashboard that lit up like a 70s disco. Attempting to restart it resulted in a "donk"...
