What happened to Please be nice?

To my mind it is pointless ignoring anyone if they don't know it's not bothering them just yourself who may be missing something that the ignored person is saying that you maybe agree with.

It was closed with a note from the chief to report adverse comments rather than starting a post to tell somone off. (y)

There is an option for a two way ignore.
If you tick the option the person being ignored can't see ANY of your content either.

Doubt it an ignored person from post posts show they tend to have views, believes , values/ethics that or poles apart from yours.

That's not true either, there is one person on here, who hasn't posted for a couple of weeks ,think he was going away, that I almost disagree with everything he says about certain things, but on motorhome stuff he has a lot of stuff we are in agreement with and no way would I ignore him.

I can’t see the point of ignoring a poster.

Also you know if you’re being ignored as it breaks up a thread especially if another poster quotes the person doing the ignore bit.

It's quite easy to physically ignore a post they post without a blanket ignore on everything they post.

Good for you glad it works that way for you. For me its simple I don't read the daily hate or hold it's view on society so i'm not going to bother reading the same mind set on a forum. Being helpful or a top bloke on one thing wont let them off the hook on the rest.

Ok , see we don't agree on this, but I would hope you are not going to ignore me because of it, because it certainly doesn't bother me enough to ignore you.

Another thing is if you don't agree with someone, tell them don't just ignore it.

1st I wont be as disagreeing in a civil manner is how a debate happens.
